Born 2002, Bristol UK.
Studio resident in the John Marley Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Through my work I explore fleeting moments of serendipity, nostalgia, and occasional intervention. I started a new body of paintings in late 2024 while working full-time, painting from stored photos in my camera roll. I am interested in the ways in which memory can alter your perception of a place; I find greenhouses especially interesting due to their architectural symmetry, and I feel that the physical sensations of heat, light and oxygen can make memories of being there especially lucid. I find the process of painting to be meditative and peaceful and hope that a similar feeling of calm can be passed from the artist to the viewer.
Alongside painting, I continue to take photographs, which is a practice I began during my fine art degree. I like to create tiny interventions in unexpected or overlooked spaces and to document these little moments of care and attention using photography.
